Sunday July 29th
After a quick 9 hour drive we arrived at Page, AZ and quickly went shopping for
our week of groceries at Walmart. Afterward we arrived at Laketimes
parking lot at about 6:45pm and drove up to our house boat the Turquoise
Bay.
Have a nice video of us unloading our cars unto the house boat

Stephanie and I celebrating 25 years of marriage
Can you believe Steph and I have been married for over 25 years! YIKES!
For the next week we relaxed, swam, sunbathed, wakeboarded, rode seadoo's, partied, ate like royalty, oh and we drank a bit too!
Boy can we tube or what?
In all actuality this one scared the @#$@# out of all of us! I can't believe I caught it on film. Everyone survived, a bit sore here and there but wow! I never knew Sara could fly.
A perfect place to relax
With my toes in the water my ass on the sand"stone" and a beer in my hand!
A great shot of poor Lukas
Ah poor old Lukas got caught looking! LOL
We left Brian with only a small life vest
Brian came up to the ski boat with the smallest of all the life vest on. We just had to laugh. Evidently we had all the x large on board the ski boat. Sorry Brian!
Jeff's new quote of the week
Hey, Shut up!! It's my story!!!
We had a big storm on Wednesday
This is not our boat!!! But the next day after the storm we saw this boat swamped in the bay just above ours.
The Dooley Rescue Team
The day of the big storm the Dooley Rescue Team went into action once again. This storm was another doozy! Big wind, thunder and rain. Right in the middle of it a poor rental house boat came pulling into the bay we were anchored at. I asked the kids and Jeff to run over to the beach next to us and wave the houseboat in. The rental soon came in and my crew dug their holes and put their anchors in for them. I had to stay with my boat with the engines on and make sure I didn't lose an anchor line. When my crew returned they informed me the rental houseboat had a small ski boat with them and they have not seen it since the storm. I walked over to the rental and found out the ski boat was a small 16 footer with only about a foot above the water line. It also had 3 young adults aboard, two males and one female. I informed them I would come over in my ski boat once the storm calmed down enough and help them look for the ski boat. About 15 minutes later the storm was calming down so I drove over to their houseboat and took onboard the father and one of the son's. We found the ski boat with the three occupants real quick on the opposite side of Rock Creek on a very small island, about 10 square feet. The three young adults were VERY happy to see their father and he them. They were cold and a bit scared but not hurt. The motor would not start and the bilge ran for a very long time before we could make it tow worthy. I could only go about 5 mph with the little boat in tow for the waves kept crashing over the bow of the smaller boat. We towed them back to their houseboat and all were very happy to see each other again safe and in good spirits. Later that night two of the young males came over to our houseboat and said their mother wanted to bake us cookies to show their appreciation in helping them. They asked if we wanted chocolate chip or oatmeal. Chocolate chip ofcourse! The two young males I could tell wanted to stay on our boat so I asked them to come aboard. Evidently their boat consisted of adults, and young children so they wanted to party with us. And party they did! Needless to say they came over almost every night and I can now say we have two more lake powell enthusiasts we call friends.
Upon their departure, a few days later, their houseboat was actually stuck on the beach. Evidently they did not back up their houseboat every other day or so and were high and dry as the lake slowly receded as it does this time of year. I got them off by actually putting the boat in forward and gunning it in a tight turn, the rental houseboats had no power in reverse, very small engines. I got one pontoon off and then had them get their ski boat to pull the other pontoon off the beach. Our timeshare houseboat has 2 large engines on it and much more power then the rentals. Another plus for timeshares.

The big wipe out caught on the GoPro
If you want a good laugh check this video out. I put the GoPro on my head looking back down on me. I look kinda funny but the wipe out at the end is classic!
Jon Bon Jovi and Denise Richards
On Thursday we learned that Jon Bon Jovi and Denise Richards were anchored the bay above ours. I wanted to check them out, Denise Richards, not Jon Bon Jovi, LOL. But the wifey said I am sure they just want to be left alone and enjoy their vacation. Damn it! Denise Richards!
My children are growing up! Yikes they are now 24, 22, 20 and 16!
I don't quite know what is going on in this picture!

The Verizon Hot Spot
Our houseboat has a Cell Phone booster on it. It seemed to work for we could sit in this "exact" one spot and actually get 3g
